Dambai (O/R), Dec 25, GNA – A total of nineteen youth in Krachi Nchumuru District have received vocational training tools valued at over Gh¢37,500 from World Vision, a global humanitarian Organisation.
The tools, which include sewing machines, welding machines, hair dryers and rotary hammers, were presented to the beneficiaries as part of World Vision’s Reading Improvement and Skills Enhancement (RISE) Technical Programme.
The Programme aims to enhance the resilience of communities and improve support networks for children’s learning, targeting most vulnerable children (MVC) adolescents who have dropped out of school due to teenage pregnancy, disability, or extreme poverty.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr. Sasu Brako, Education Project Manager at Krachi Cluster of World Vision, emphasised the importance of equipping young people with practical skills that can lead to sustainable livelihoods.
“We believe that by providing these vocational training tools, we are not just giving tools but offering opportunities for the youth to learn, grow and ultimately create their own future’s. Mr Brako added.
The beneficiaries comprising 10 females and nine males, expressed their gratitude to World Vision for the support, acknowledging that putting the tools to effective use is their only chance to secure their future.
Mr. David Seddoh, Krachi Nchumuru District Education Director, expressed appreciation to World Vision for the donation, saying it will go a long way in supporting many young people who are seeking avenues to explore and gain skills and employment.
The vocational training tools are expected to equip the beneficiaries with the necessary skills to become self-employed and improve their livelihoods.
