Kweikuma (W/R), Dec. 25, GNA – Reverend Paul Kenneth Abbew, Head Pastor, of the Assemblies of God, Glory, and Power Centre, in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, has urged believers to be joyful this festive season as the birth of Christ was the greatest announcement ever.
He made the call at the church’s annual festival of nine lessons and carols service which sought to foster a cordial relationship among brethren in the church for growth and expansion.
Speaking on the theme “The Blessed Announcement” quoting from Luke 2:814, Reverend Abbew, encouraged believers to be joyful and fulfilled as the hope of the world, which was Christ, came to redeem the world.
“As we celebrate Christ, let’s do well to extend the hope and light we have received to others who are yet to witness the light as commanded by God’s holy word” he said.
He appreciated the church members for their enormous contribution to the growth of the church and hoped the church continued to grow from grace to grace as they continued in their walk with Christ.
The event was characterized by choir performances, hymns and carols, choreography, drama displays, refreshments among other exciting activities.
