Adaklu Waya (V/R), Dec. 24, GNA – Mr. Governs Kwame Agbodza, Member of Parliament for Adaklu, Monday lauded the unwavering dedication and commitment of workers in the Adaklu district.
He noted that their tireless efforts contributed to the development of the district.
Mr. Agbodza stated this in an address delivered on his behalf by Mr. Jerry Ameko, Adaklu constituency chairman of the National Democratic Congress during a ceremony he organised to celebrate workers in the district at Adaklu Waya.
The workers included civil and public servants, teachers, health workers and members of the security services.
Mr. Agbodza highlighted the indispensable roles of the workers in delivering essential services and maintaining law and order in the district.
“Your efforts to the district’s progress in all facets of life is commendable,” he said.
The MP urged the workers to remain steadfast in their duties and pledged his full support in improving their working conditions.
He also reiterated his commitment to championing initiatives that would accelerate the sustainable development of the district.
“The yulitide serves as a reminder of the importance of showing appreciation to those who serve tirelessly behind the scenes,” he said.
Mr. Agbodza as a show of appreciation of their hard work presented hampers in the form of an undisclosed amount of money to all the workers.
He said the gesture which he described as his “widow’s mite” would encourage them to continue serving in the district with passion and commitment.
Mr. Mac-Peter Dunatonu, Adaklu District Director of Education, on behalf of the workers thanked the MP for the donation, saying “the donation has become a yearly ritual.”
He described Mr. Agbodza as a compassionate, transformative and a visionary leader and urged him to keep it up.
