Accra, Dec. 23, GNA- Little Angels Trust, a charitable organisation, has donated assorted items to the Child Health Department of Mamobi General Hospital in Accra.

The items include medical supplies, packs of bottled water, clothing, a pair of shoes, food, and packs of soft drinks, among others.

The items were from the organisation’s partners, friends, and loved ones from the United Kingdom and others.

Dame Lavina Enim, Founder and Chair of Trustees, Little Angels Trust, said the gesture formed part of the 20th anniversary of the organisation.

Well, as it is Christmas, we cannot help but come to the hospital and celebrate with the children as we always do.

“We love the hospital; the welcome here is fantastic. They love us, we love them,” he said.

She said the organisation in 2024 refurbished the children’s wards and some of the outpatient department as part of their corporate social responsibility to respond to the needs of society.

Dame Enim said the motivation for the gesture was purely to see the joy in the children’s faces.

“The balloons alone blow their minds because these are children who come from certain areas that the parents can’t afford some of these things that we provide, and for us it’s such a joy just seeing them happy,” she said.

Over the years, the organisation has been supporting Korle-Bu Hospital, Princess Marie Louise Hospital, and the Accra Psychiatric Hospital.

Dr Veronica Nani, Head of Pediatric Department, Mamobi General Hospital, thanked the organisation, describing the gestures as a blessing to the children.

The Department are grateful for the items and stated that the items would help in the quick recovery of the children in the wards.
