Accra, Dec 18, GNA – The Africa Monologue Challenge (AMC) Season 3 has officially closed submissions, attracting an overwhelming number of monologues from across Africa and the global African Diaspora.
This year’s edition of the Pan-African initiative has reaffirmed its position as a premier platform for advancing positive African narratives and strengthening the African creative economy.
With its commitment to rebranding the continent, the AMC has become a key cultural and creative event celebrating Africa’s unity, diversity, and storytelling prowess.
Organizers are set to announce the 50 shortlisted applicants in the coming days, representing various countries across Africa and the Diaspora.
These applicants will embark on a rigorous eight-month journey of monologue performances and evictions, culminating in the selection of 10 finalists.
A statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra said the organizers revealed that the grand finale of the AMC Season 3 would take place in Ivory Coast, the home of last season’s winner, whose stunning performance brought glory to the nation during the Season 2 event held in Uganda, the pearl of Africa under the auspices of the office of the president of Uganda.
The finalists will represent their countries on an international stage, marketing their nations, promoting cultural exchange, and engaging in enriching activities during a month-long residency at the Pan-African House in Ivory Coast.
The Africa Monologue Challenge is an initiative of MK Casting, Ghana’s premier casting company, in collaboration with the African Chamber of Content Producers and the National Film Authority of Ghana.
Additional support comes from the Pan African Women’s Organization (PAWO), Cinema UG, Uganda’s leading cinema marketing company, Loomflix, and GH Movie Freak, underscoring the growing recognition of AMC as a transformative platform.
According to the organizers, AMC offers a unique opportunity for stakeholders committed to reshaping Africa’s image to be part of this revolutionary movement.

According to Mr. Mawuko Kuadzi, CEO of MK Casting and a member of the nine-person jury, “This year’s event has drawn incredibly creative submissions, reflecting a growing passion among Africans to redefine and project a positive image of the motherland.”
Season 3 of the AMC also introduced the French language category for Francophone Africa.
The organizers revealed that they are working with various bureaus of African languages to also introduce selected African languages into the monologue languages.
Nana Dwomoh-Doyen Benjamin, President of the African Chamber of Content Producers, emphasized the Chamber’s commitment to promoting positive stereotypes about Africa.
“AMC is more than a competition; it’s a movement to challenge the misconceptions about Africa and replace them with narratives of hope, innovation, and cultural pride,” he said.
