Accra, Dec 9, GNA – The Ghana Police Service has arrested 18 additional individuals as part of ongoing investigations into violent incidents that erupted in parts of the country following Saturday’s voting.
This brings the total number of suspects apprehended in connection with the disturbances to 30, the Police stated in a release on Monday morning.
Efforts are underway to apprehend other perpetrators and bring them to justice, the statement added.
The Police further confirmed the death of one person during the incidents, while an Electoral Commission official is currently receiving medical treatment.
