Ningo, Dec. 08, GNA – Mr Samuel Nartey George, the Ningo-Prampram Member of Parliament, has been declared the winner of the 2024 general elections, getting the nod for the third consecutive time.

Mr George, of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), polled 44,934 votes of the total 59,308 votes cast in the constituency to be declared the winner by the Returning Officer for Ningo-Prampram, Ms Catherine Afriyie Otuo.

His closest contender, Mr Michael Tetteh-Eku, candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), received 12,182 votes, while Mr Frederick Forzie and Mr Evans Tetteh Nii Nartey, independent candidates, polled 275 and 1,404, respectively.

Meanwhile, the presidential race in the constituency saw the NDC’s Mr John Dramani Mahama gaining 47,254 votes compared to the 9,988 votes for the NPP’s Dr Mahamadu Bawumia.

Mr George assured constituents of Ningo-Prampram about the completion of major road construction in the constituency since contracts have been awarded already through his lobbying in the Eight Parliament.

According to him, the ancestral road from Ningo to Tsopoli, the Dawhenya-Afienya road, and the Ningo to Mangotsonya roads, which are in deplorable states, would all see a facelift to ease the travelling stress of constituents.
