Tamale, Dec 08, GNA – Supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Sunday morning took over the streets of Tamale in wild jubilation following the party’s victory at the polls.

Whilst some were clad in party paraphernalia walking amidst blowing vuvuzelas, others were on motorbikes without silencers and vehicles displaying beyond recommended speed.

Similar scenes were observed across major cities and towns including Yendi in the Northern Region, Damongo and Bole in the Savannah Region and Walewale in the North East Region.

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party for the 2024 elections, conceded defeat on Sunday morning and congratulated Mr John Mahama, the NDC’s Presidential Candidate, for winning the elections even before the Electoral Commission would announce the results.
