Nelson Kofi Djabab wins Krachi East parliamentary seat

Dambai (O/R) Dec 8, GNA- Mr. Nelson Kofi Djabab, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate, has emerged as the winner of the Krachi East parliamentary election. 

The newly elected member of parliament (MP) emerged victorious against his opponent, Mr. Michael Yaw Gyato, the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP). 

The MP-elect won with a total of 23,530 votes, while his closest rival, Mr Gyato of the NPP garnered 15,345 votes in the December 7 polls conducted by the Electoral Commission (EC). 

Mr Djabab throughout his campaign, emphasized the importance of quality education, healthcare, and infrastructure development in Krachi East. 

He also promised to implement a special policy for farmers, traders and fisherfolks and establish a scholarship scheme for students and teachers. 

“The people of Krachi East have spoken and it’s clear that they have placed their trust in Mr Djabab to represent them in parliament,” MP elect on his well-deserved victory.
