Bodi (WN/R), Dec. 7, GNA – Tension arose between some National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) members at Sefwi Amoaya Polling Station in the Bodi Constituency of the Western North Region after a man whose identity is yet unknown allegedly campaigned at the polling centre.
Information gathered by the Ghana News Agency has allegedly revealed that the said individual went to the polling centre with a dummy presidential and parliamentary ballot papers to influence prospective voters to vote for his preferred candidates.
His action was resisted by other polling agents leading to disturbances, which had led to three people in critical condition.
The affected persons are Mr Armah Moses, an NPP Coordinator, Mr Badu Stephen of the NDC, and Mr Kingsley Ohene, also an NDC member.
Meanwhile, all three persons are currently at the hospital receiving medical attention.
