NDC Constituency youth organizer and son arrested with fake ballot papers

   Ofoase (Ash), Dec. 07, GNA – Mr Charles Kwaku Fokuo and his son have been arrested and detained by the police for allegedly attempting to smuggle thumb-printed ballot papers into a ballot box at the Ofoase Methodist Polling Centre. 

Mr Charles Kwaku Fokuo,  the Atwima-Kwanwoma Constituency Youth Organizer of the National Democratic ‘s (NDC) son, Kwaku Fokuo, was caught with 76 thumb-printed ballot papers through the vigilance of some voters who were waiting in the queue to cast their ballot. 

    He was immediately seized together with the suspected fake ballot papers, before he could flee the place, put in handcuffs, and whisked away to the Ofoase Police Station. 

    He mentioned his father as the person who gave the suspected fake ballot papers to him, leading to the father’s arrest. 

    The Ofoase police have confirmed that the two suspects are in their custody and that they have begun investigations into the incident. 

    Mr. Kofi Amankwaa Manu, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP, who is seeking re-election, praised the police for their swift action.
