Confusion over constituency, ballot paper codes delay voting

Kumasi Dec 07, GNA – Confusion over the constituency and ballot paper codes delayed polls at the Uaddara Barracks ‘A’ Polling Station in the Subin Constituency.

Political party agents were insisting that the constituency code should not be different from that of the ballot papers but after some explanation by election officials, they dropped their insistence, paving way for the exercise to take off.

Ms. Rita Adu Nkansah, the Presiding Officer, said everything was going on smoothly.

A total of 2,290 registered voters are expected to vote at the five polling centres at the Uaddara Barracks in the Subin constituency – Day Care Uaddara Barracks ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’, Armed Forces Primary School Uaddara Barracks ‘A’ and Armed Forces Primary School Uaddara Barracks ‘B’.
