Lambussie, (UW/R), Dec. 07, GNA – The voting exercise for the Election 2024 progresses steadily at the Lambussie Constituency after a smooth takeoff, yet devoid of the usual long queues that characterised previous elections at the various Centre.
Though voters started queuing early, the numbers were not encouraging, probably due to the cold weather in the area.
The Ghana News Agency (GNA) visited some of the Polling Stations including the Lambussie Traditional Council Polling Station with a total voter population of 301, while the Lambussie Market Centre was expecting 600 eligible voters, the Polling Centre at the Piina Market Circle had 424 and the Hamile Polling Station ‘B’ had 678.
Some of the voters who spoke with the GNA, said they had taken an early lead to cast their ballot to enable them to go back home to their daily work schedules while waiting for the results in the evening.
At the time the GNA visited these centres there was general calmness, with security persons and representatives of some political parties at the post to ensure a smooth and credible electoral process,
