Dzolokpuita (V/R), Dec. 07, GNA – Voting progressing smoothly in the Ho West District of the Volta Region.
Most polling centres opened for voting at the mandated 0700 hours, and the Ghana News Agency (GNA) saw queues forming as early as 0600 hours.
The district has 142 polling stations, and Presiding Officers at the various centers said the process had begun smoothly and an average of ten votes had been cast 30 minutes into the voting.
The Dzolokpuita EP Primary School has two centres with a combined total of 827 registered voters.
The Honuta EP Primary School has 453 on the register, and 37 people had cast ballots by 0800 hours.
The Amedzofe Town Hall polling station has 271 voters, while the Amedzofe Tourist Centre has 451.
Presiding Officers at both centres reported a smooth process and said biometric devices functioned as expected.
Agents for the various Parties and local and international observers are present to monitor the process.
