Komenda (C/R), Dec 07, GNA – Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Saturday, cast her ballot at the M/A JHS ‘A’ polling centre at Komenda, her hometown in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Constituency.
Dressed beautifully in an African print shirt and black trousers with a headgear to match, the NDC’s Vice-Presidential hopeful, arrived at exactly 09:40 hours and was taken through the process by the Electoral Officers, led by Mr Ishmael Simpson, the Presiding officer.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang encouraged Ghanaians to go out massively and exercise their franchise.
She expressed satisfaction with the exercise so far and was very confident that her Party would win the day to redeem the country from the economic hardship it was facing.
The GNA observed that the centre was virtually empty with people trickling in at a very slow pace as noted in other polling stations, but Mr Simpson said the phenomena was typical with communities in the area and voter turnout would pick up buy the close of the day.
At Nkontrodu Community Centre in the same Constituency, voters arrived in pairs with the officers virtually on a holiday.
