Prospective voters flock polling stations in Tarkwa Nsuaem to cast their ballots

Tarkwa (W/R), Dec 7, GNA – Some prospective voters in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency who were eager to cast their ballots in this year’s polls had flocked to their respective polling stations, as the polls progresses smoothly.

The Ghana News Agency (GNA) observed long queues at some polling stations within the Tarkwa township in the early hours of the voting day.

Both the first-time voters and others who had been voting for decades were seen discussing issues that mattered most to them.

At the Community Development Office A and B, and Compound E/D, Cyanide polling stations, the Electoral Commission officials arrived at 0500 hours with the electoral materials, and they quickly started setting up the polling station.

They arranged the voting booths, set up the registration tables and made sure everything was in order before voting commenced at 0700 hours.

Maame Ama Owusuaa, a trader, who got to the Type B polling station at 5:30 am, told the GNA that “I cannot afford to miss this year’s election because l want to be part of those who will help shape the future of this country.”

A total of 140, 050 eligible voters are expected to cast their ballots across 262 polling stations in the Tarkwa Nsuaem constituency.
