The graduation was held on the theme “transitioning from the University to the world of work: the role of the 21st century graduate”.

Prof Asare-Bediakosaid the University had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Service Authority to train national service personnel from the university in agriculture to enhance food security and reduce graduates’ unemployment.

“The 21st-century work environment is dynamic and constantly evolving and thereby requiring individuals who are not only knowledgeable but also adaptable, creative and resilient”, he stated.

Mr Eugene Odoi Addo, the Sunyani Area Manager of the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) advised the graduates to prepare themselves well for the career paths ahead. That often required a combination of skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to personal and professional development he stated.

He said with advancement in technology they could leverage on that and build global collaboration, saying professionals ought to prepare to work in diverse and multicultural teams across the various time zones and cultural contexts.

Mr Bernard Asenso, a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Natural Resources Management received the Vice Chancellor’s Award as the overall best student.
