Some 229 registered voters to participate in special voting exercise in Agona West

Agona Swedru, (C/R), Dec. 02, GNA – About 229 registered voters are to cast their ballots in the special voting exercise currently underway at the Agona West Constituency of the Central Regional. 

These include security personnel, official of Electoral Commission (EC), health professionals and media practitioners, who would be on official working duties on the December 7, which is the actual day of the Election 2024. 

The special voting process which is progressing steadily at the special designated centre at the Agona Swedru Divisional Police Command at the Agona West constituency. 

Mr Ruben Alabi, the Presiding Officer of the centre, told the Ghana News Agency, in an interview that the exercise had been smooth with polling agents of the two main political parties; New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) as well as the Independent Candidate, Mrs Cynthia Morrison, present. 

At the Gomoa Central Constituency, a total of 545 registered voters were also expected to cast their ballots at the polling centre at the Gomoa Central District Assembly premises. 

Mr Louise Mensah, the Presiding Officer., assured the media that voting started on schedule and had since been progressing peacefully.
