My government will establish Pilgrimage Authority for Christians and Muslims- Bawumia

By Godwill Arthur-Mensah

Accra, Dec. 2, GNA-Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, says his administration will set up a Pilgrimage Authority to facilitate the pilgrimage of both Christians and Muslims to Israel and Mecca, respectively.

That, he said, would enable both Christians and Muslims to pray for the peace of the nation and sought God’s blessings and guidance for the country.

He made this known during a visit to the Believers Worship Centre (Philadelphia Movement) at Pokuase Katapor Estate in Accra on Sunday.

The Founder of the Church, Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah prayed for Dr Bawumia, as he seeks the mandate of Ghanaians to lead the nation on the December 7 polls.

Prophet Adom Kyei-Duah used a “special” white apron to cover the head of Dr Bawumia as he prayed for him.

The NPP Flagbearer has been touring the 276 constituencies across the nation, explaining his programmes and policies to the electorate and asking them to vote for him in the December general elections.

He has been highlighting some of the monumental achievements of the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia Government over the past seven and half years including implementing the Free Senior High School policy, which had benefited 5.7 million students, so far.

He also mentioned various policies such as the digitalisation of the economy, road infrastructure, interchanges, establishment of 169 factories under One-District, One Constituency, over 300 ambulances for the various districts, education infrastructure, Agenda 111 Hospital projects, among other social intervention policies.
