Dormaa-Ahenkro, (Bono), Dec. 2, GNA – Mr Reindolf Afrifa-Oware, the Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs of the National Tenants Union of Ghana, has urged Ghanaians to appreciate the progress made so far in the nation’s re-construction process, as the December 7, polls gear up.
He said meaningful development remained a process that required patience and long-term commitment and asked everybody to contribute to the progressive development of the nation and asked the electorates to put the interest of the nation first, on December 7.
Speaking in a telephone interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mr Afrifa-Oware, also the Head of Production of the CLOG TV and a political analyst entreated the citizenry to have positive mindsets towards building a better nation for all.
“Development process takes a great deal of time and tremendous effort to prosecute”, he stated.
Mr Afrifa-Oware spoke against the practice of some Ghanaians who compared the nation’s development to the Western world, citing those countries like the United States had gone through over 200 years of democratic experiences.
“For Ghana we are just a little over 60 years of independence and we are still building our foundation towards sustainable development and democratic practices”, he added.
Mr Afrifa-Oware acknowledged the significant strides made in the nation’s infrastructure development, and commended successive governments for their efforts in facilitating accelerated national development.
