EC’s special voting exercise underway in Techiman South

Techiman, (Bono East), Dec. 2, GNA – The Electoral Commission (EC)’s nationwide special voting exercise on Election 2024 started exactly 0700 hours in the Techiman South Constituency of the Bono East Region.

During a visit to the two polling stations ‘A’ and ‘B’, the Ghana News Agency (GNA) noticed that some of the eligible voters were in queues, patiently waiting to cast their ballot. Mr William Bamfo-Apori, the Techiman South EC Officer told the GNA that a total of 1,253 voters were expected to participate in the special voting exercise at the two polling stations in the constituency.

The polling station ‘A’ has 627 voters while polling station ‘B’ has 626 voters. He said all voting materials were intact and arrived on time for the exercise to commence.

The agents of the various political parties were also around to observe the voting process at the two stations.

Security personnel were seen at post to maintain law and order. Some Election Observers including those from the Economic Community of West African States Election Monitors (ECOWAS) and CODEO were also noticed at the polling stations.
