Accra, Nov.28, GNA – Asante Kotoko has appointed Malik Jabir as the club’s new Technical Director.
Jabir, who is a legend of the Porcupine Warriors, takes over from Sudan Head Coach, Kwasi Appiah, who has left the role.
However, Kwasi Appiah would still remain a part of Asante Kotoko’s management team, as he seeks to restore the lost glory of the club.
A statement from the club said: “We are thrilled to announce the appointment of club legend and two-time CAF Champions League winner, Malik Jabir as the new Technical Director for the club.
“Coach James Kwasi Appiah who recently held the position would remain a member of the club’s management team.”
Asante Kotoko have had a topsy-turvy season thus far as they currently occupy seventh position on the league table with 18 points.
Last week’s 2-0 win against Aduana Stars was a huge respite for head coach Dr Prosper Nartey Ogum who was under huge pressure following a five-game winless run.
