Twumkrom (B/R), Nov. 13, GNA – Mr Drissa Ouattara, the Dormaa Central Municipal Chief Executive says all deplorable roads networks, especially those linking farming communities in the municipality would be put into good shape very soon.
That would facilitate the movements of the farmers and make it easier for them to transport their food stuffs from the hinterland to the urban centers, and thereby spur economic growth and development.
Mr Quattara said the Municipal Assembly had taken delivery of a grader, pee loader, water bouncer, compact roller, back-hole, and concrete mixer, and two tipper trucks under the government District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP).
The Chief Executive said this when he addressed the Municipal celebration of the 40th National Farmers Day celebration held at Twumkrom in the Municipality.
He said construction work had already commenced for the reshaping of the Duasidan-Yaakrom road, saying Trade Vision, a road construction firm, was also working on the Aboabo and Kwameasua road from Dormaa-Ahenkro.
Mr Quattara said work on the Dwaho, Amakyekrom, Asunsu Dwen, Manteware, Asikasu Anafo, Nsesreso and Ahugunu roads would also begin very soon.
He said some of the DRIP machines had undergone maintenance work and urged the 14 operators employed to use the machines to take proper care of them.
