Kadjebi (O/R), Sept. 21, GNA – The 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), has ended successfully in the Kadjebi District of the Oti Region on Friday.
The district registered 1,369 candidates; including 697 males and 672 females for the 2024 WASSCE, but 1,363 candidates including four nursing mothers turn out for the examination, with six absentees.
Mr Christopher Agorkle, Kadjebi District Exams Coordinator, disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview at Kadjebi.
He said the examination ended with the writing of Arabic and CRS in the morning and Applied Electricity 1 (Objective) at 1500hours.
He said the examination was generally good without any major examination malpractice.
Master Francis Quofi Appiah, a Visual Art graduate told GNA that examination was good and that he hoped to secure an aggregate 18.
Miss Monica Amewovi, a General Art graduate, disclosed to GNA that the examination was okay, but she could not immediately tell the aggregate she would get since the external Examiners are yet to mark the papers.
In 2023 WASSCE, Kadjebi District presented 1,406 candidates, but 1,404 turn out to write with two absentees and nine pregnant girls.
The examination which started on Monday, August 5, 2024, with Basketry 3 (Practical) would end on Friday, September 20, 2024, with Applied Electricity 1 (Objective) at 1500hours across the country.
