Mahama signs book of condolence for late Japanese Prime Minister

Accra, July 15, GNA – Former President John Dramani Mahama, had signed a book of condolence for the late Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the Japanese Embassy in Accra.

“I was shocked at hearing the sad news of Prime Minister Abe’s assassination,” the former President said in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA).

Mr. Mahama said Prime Minister Abe was an international statesman.

He noted that it was a pleasure working with him to restore the Yen Loan Portfolio to Ghana, expand the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) at the University of Ghana, Legon and other cooperation projects with Japan.
