PRINPAG goes to the polls on August 12, 2022

Accra, July 14, GNA-The Private Newspaper Publishers Association (PRINPAG) will go to the polls on Friday, August 12, 2022, to elect new officers for the next triennial (2022-2025).

Prior to that, the Elections committee, comprising Mr Ben Assorow, Managing Editor of the Catholic Standard, Chairman, Mr Gyamfi Boaten, former Editor, Christian Messenger, and Mr Desmond Darko, the Catalyst Newspaper, as members, have released a timetable for nominations, vetting, elections and declaration of results.

A statement signed by Mr Kenteman Nii-Laryea Sowah, Secretary to the Election Committee, copied to the Ghana News Agency, said the picking of nomination forms as slated for Monday, July, 4, 2022 while nominations would close on Friday, July 15, 2022.

It said publication of list of Candidates and eligible voters would be publish in selected Newspapers on Monday, August 1, 2022 with vetting of all aspirants on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

Persons contesting for various positions, the statement said, were required to pay a fixed nomination GHS300.00

“The Elections Committee has promised to deliver a fair and credible elections to keep the PRINPAG brand glowing in the eyes of all Publishers and Owners of private newspapers and online media portals as well as the general public,” the statement said.
