Bulgarians Invest Lv 60 Mln-Plus through BSE International in One Year

Sofia, July 5, (BTA/GNA) – Over 60 million leva via 5,718 transactions were invested through BSE International in the fist year since its launch, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange said.

BSE International is a multilateral trading system organised by the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, providing local investors with the opportunity to diversify their portfolios with financial instruments issued by some of the most renowned and liquid companies in the world.

The top ten stocks preferred by Bulgarians belong to Volkswagen AG, Amazon.com Inc., Pfizer Inc., Porsche Automobil Holding SE, Intel Corporation, Apple Inc, Novo-Nordisk AS, Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, Mercedes Benz Group AG and Siemens AG.

“The potential of this market is unfolding before our very eyes, especially in these turbulent times for the global financial markets. More Bulgarian investors become aware that BSE International provides them with an easily accessible and liquid investment opportunity and they increasingly make use of it,” said BSE CEO Manyu Moravenov.

Volkswagen distributed the highest gross dividend per share. In one year Bulgarian investors received 206 dividends in six currencies. Twenty one of the listed companies paid quarterly dividends.
