Ernest Bruce donates 700 practice balls to Captain One Golf Society’s Kids Project

Accra, June 28, GNA – United Kingdom (UK) based Ghanaian, Ernest Bruce, has donated 700 practice balls to Captain One Golf Society to support their kids project currently running at major golf clubs in the country.

Mr. Bruce, who is a member of the Akwaaba UK Golf Society, said he was touched when he read about the project online and the kids’ participation in their maiden national championship a month ago.

Speaking to the media shortly after his donation, he explained that “it is always a blessing when we put smiles on the faces of the less privileged and vulnerable in society, and that is why I was touched by the story of what Captain one is doing”.

“Some of us have the capacity to give but we look out for genuine avenues to contribute our quota therefore, I am very pleased to at least give something small to promote a good course.”

He commended members of the society for coming up with such an initiative to help young boys and girls realise their dreams and pledged his continuous assistance.

President and Founder of Captain Golf Society, Pius Ayeh Appiah, thanked Ernest Bruce for his support and assured him of handing over the donation to the rightful users.

He mentioned that the kids participated in their maiden national competition which was the Ghana Golf Association’s Junior Open Championship and was proud of the progress being made by the kids.

He said they would continue to give out their best for the project to give hope to the young and talented but needy golfers.

The Founder again appealed to corporate bodies, civil society organisations and individuals to also come on board to support the project.
