Accra, Feb. 7, GNA – Immigration Ladies, eliminated Division One League Side, Blessed Ladies, in Round 32 of the ongoing Women FA Cup competition played at the La McDan Park in Accra.
The premier league side, Immigration Ladies, defeated Blessed Ladies by 3-0 to progress to the next stage of the competition.
Patience Narh opened the scoring for Immigration Ladies in the 26th minute of the first half with a powerful header in the 18-yard box.
Immigration Ladies had a better start of the game having controlled possession, dominating in the field of play and creating a lot of chances.
Inexperienced Blessed Ladies struggled in the first half with poor passes, poor defending, and poor attacking which made Immigration Ladies held on to their lead after the first 45 minutes.
Immigration Ladies in the second half were in the mood for more goals as they kept pressing in the backyard of Blessed Ladies with a series of corners and in the 53rd minute, Rumanatu Tahiru doubled the lead for her side.
Laurencia Kumi also registered her name in the scoresheet in the 70th minute after converting a corner by Ramatu Tahiru to a goal through a header.
