Global Evangelical Church Moderator urges Ghanaians to support less-privileged

Accra, Dec. 22, GNA— The Global Evangelical Church (GEC) has called on all well-meaning citizens and philanthropists to reciprocate Gods love for mankind by reaching out to the less privileged in the society.

Rt Rev. Dr. Setorwu Kwadzo Ofori, Moderator of the Global Evangelical Church, also urged Ghanaians to be intentional to share Jesus Christ, the best gift during the Christmas festivities.

The Moderator, in his Christmas message, said as a nation, “we need to appreciate the fact that, Christmas is also a season for giving, remembering, and sharing the love that God showed us.”

“Let us remember as a nation, that, Jesus is the reason for the celebration. For this, whatever one does, it should be to the glory of His name,” he added.

He urged the people to merry in moderation, drivers should exhibit the highest sense of caution during the season to avoid the loss of lives.

The Moderator said Christmas was also a time to take stock of ‘our blessings and reach out to those who have touched our lives.’
He appealed to the government to give a listening ear to the hues and cries of Ghanaians, concerning the economic challenges facing the citizenry.

“Peace is the absolute gift that God has given to us Ghanaians through His Son Jesus, the Christ,” he said.
He called on the people to continue to maintain the peace, especially as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, who is the prince of peace.

The Moderator commended all its partners, the government, civil society, development partners and the media for their immeasurable contributions towards our development.
