Cocaine worth 2.7 million euros found in car in Bavaria

Bayreuth, Nov 30, (dpa/GNA) – Police officers have found 27 kilograms of cocaine in a car during a check on a motorway in southern Bavaria.

The police estimate it would have a street value of at least 2.7 million euros (3.06 million dollars).

The car was stopped on the A8 motorway on Sunday, near the town of Bad Aibling. The drugs were found in a hiding place in the boot.

The driver of the car – a 31-year-old man – was arrested. Investigators have not disclosed where the drugs came from, or their intended destination.
