NIA urges Ho applicants to come for their cards

Ho, Sept. 15, GNA – The National Identification Authority (NIA) has asked applicants who registered for the Ghana card in the Ho Municipality to visit their offices at the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) premises to pick their cards.

According to the Authority, some applicants in the Municipality did not get their cards during the general and the mop-up exercises, and is therefore, urging those people to visit the office for the cards.

Mr Ernest Edwin Ahiagbe, Team Leader, GRA-NIA Office, Ho, who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), also called on the citizens who could not register for the card during the general and mop-up exercises to come to the office and register.

He said the ongoing exercise was free of charge and applicants would also receive their cards instantly, and therefore, advised the citizens to take advantage of it to get their Ghana Card.

Mr Ahiagbe disclosed that patronage was low at the initial stage of the exercise, however, the number was gradually increasing, putting the daily figure between 15 and 20.

The Team Leader said the exercise had so far been smooth without any glitches, however, the office is not easily accessible to persons with disabilities and the aged.
