Decapitated body of man found at Feyiase

Feyiase (Ash), July 05, GNA – A team of crime scene detectives has been detailed to Feyiase in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region, to probe the death of a decapitated male adult whose body was found in the community on Sunday, July 04.

Preliminary investigations, according to the police, have uncovered an identity card bearing the name Israel Agyei Manu, and retrieved it at the crime scene.

Additionally, a white Toyota Vitz vehicle with registration number GE 3170-21, and believed to be the property of the deceased, has also been found.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Godwin Ahianyo, the Regional Police Public Relations Officer told the media in Kumasi, that the Police had intensified investigations into the issue.

The circumstances leading to the death were being investigated, he noted.

Mr. Samuel Kwai, Assembly Member for Feyiase, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said the lifeless body of the deceased was found in the community in its fresh state on Sunday, and immediately, a message was relayed to the Police.

“We were terrified to see such a scene,” he said, stressing that the man had his head cut off when the body was discovered.

Meanwhile, the Police as part of their investigations have found the severed head, said to have been buried some metres close to where the body was seen.
