Ho, June 28, GNA – Enumeration began on Sunday at the hospitals and hotels in Ho and ended at the lorry stations for Ghanaians on transit.
Mr Chris Amewu, the Volta Regional Census Officer, said officials were dispatched to all health facilities in the region to enumerate patients on admission.
He said that the folders or files of those who could not speak were used to enumerate them, in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service.
Mr Amewu said it was important to validate those on admission on census night as there was the possibility of some getting discharged.
He said guests in hotels would be requested to fill questionnaires on their biodata and other requirements.
The exercise at the lorry stations and open places at the markets went well on the census night, he said, and expressed the hope that it would continue in same manner to ensure success.
