Bodi(WN), June 28, GNA – The Chief and people of Sefwi Bodi observed the census night with candlelight procession along the principal streets of the area.
The performance was to educate the whole Community on the start of the 2021 Population and Housing Census from June 27 to July 11, this year.
The Chief of the area, Nana Kwasi Ofori Ababio, who led the procession, appealed to the residents of the community to cooperate with the Census Officials for a smooth exercise.
He urged them not to politicize the census, adding the census was to help the Government to derive good demographic and numerical information for planning and policy direction.
The Chief, therefore, advised the people to give accurate information to the census officials to have accurate data at the end of the exercise.
A Senior Supervisor of the 2021 Population and Housing Census, Mr Francis Atta Owusu, assured the people that the information given would be confidential.
”Let me assure you that all information given to our Enumerators will be kept secret from a third party,” he said.
