Abesim, May 03, GNA – Clap for Jesus Fun Club, a Sunyani-based social group on Monday presented food items, consumables and clothing worth GH¢5,000 to inmates at the Rehabilitation of the Marginalised (REMAR) Children’s Home at Abesim in the Sunyani Municipality.
The items comprise second clothing, ten bags of rice, cartons of assorted soft drinks, gallons of cooking oil, four boxes of soap, detergents, tissue papers, and 150 packs of sachet water.
The club also presented GH¢1,000 cash to the orphanage.
Mr Kwabena Adu Owusu-Ansah, the club’s chairman, explained that the club was made up of only men, saying “as fathers it’s always our desire to support vulnerable and marginalised children in society”.
He said the proper upbringing and development of needy and marginalised children remained a shared and collective responsibility and assured that the club would continue to support the inmates to make life better for them.
Mr Bior Mingle, the Director of the orphanage home, thanked the club for the gesture saying it would greatly help in the daily upkeep of the inmates.
