Kpone-Katamanso NCCE intensifies COVID-19 sensitization

Kpone (GAR), Feb. 18, GNA – The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality has intensified sensitization exercise on the coronavirus pandemic within the Municipality.

Mr.Seth Sotie, Municipal NCCE Director, told the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Kpone that, it had become imperative for the NCCE to create the awareness to ensure the spread of the virus was curtailed in the Municipality.

He added that, NCCE officers were deployed into the various communities to help with the sensitization exercise and all 18 electoral areas within the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality had officers who hitherto were engaging residents on daily bases to help stop the spread of the virus.

Mr Sotie urged authorities of public schools to ensure that the pupils observe the various health protocols, stressing that the situation at the private schools were better managed than the public schools within the Municipality.

“We have also visited the Kpone Central Market and the Zenu Market to ensure traders also adhered to the COVID-19 protocols.

The Municipal NCCE Director also called on the security agencies within the Municipality to enforce the COVID-19 directives to help stop the spread of the virus within the Municipality.
