Sepaase (Ash), Dec. 31, GNA – Christians have been urged to uphold truthfulness in all their activities since it remains the most powerful weapon to defeat the enemy.
Pastor Peter Asante, the Nkawie District Pastor of the True Faith Church International, who made the call, said if all Ghanaians would be truthful and respect each other, Ghana would be the most peaceful place to live in the world.
Speaking at a joint service to climax the Church’s end of year service at Sepaase in the Atwima-Nwabiagya South Municipality, he said God always protects the one who says the truth.
“Backbiting, cheating and wrong doing can be eschewed from society and pave the way for peace and tranquillity if truthfulness dwells from person to person,” he told the congregation.
Quoting from the Book of Zecharia 8:16, Pastor Asante charged Christians to be honest at all times since their religion, social and moral life demanded of them.
“Speak the truth to your neighbour at home, office, work place, execute the judgement of truth, make peace in your gates and fear not,” he charged the congregants.
Pastor Asante also enjoined leaders to judge honestly in order to create a harmonious environment for development in their communities.
He commended members of the church from Nkawie, Mpasatia, Serebuoso, Nkaakom Afari and Sepaase for their commitment and contributions towards the programmes and projects of the Church.
Prayers were said for all leaders and the nation in this post-election and Christmas period.
