Raybow Hotel in Takoradi wins most accommodating hotel award

Takoradi, Dec. 17, GNA – The Raybow International Hotel located at the Beach Road in Takoradi in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis (STMA) was adjudged the Most Accommodating Hotel in Ghana at the second edition of Hospitality Awards Ghana (HAG).

The staff of the Hotel also won enviable awards in various categories, with the Most Admired Executive Housekeeper for 3-Star going to Ms Josephine Aggrey, Most Admired Food and Beverage Manager for 3-Star went to Ms Adjoa Agyeiwaa and the prestigious Star Idol for Hospitality Awards Ghana won by Mr Anthony K. Adiaba.

Other awards were also given in new categories such as the Most Admired Restaurant Manager, Most Admired Bar Manager and Most Admired Training Manager.

The ceremony was hosted by radio and television personalities like Ms Regina Van-Helvert and Mr Giovanni Caleb with performances from musicians Mr Drew and endorsed by the Ministry Tourism Arts and Culture.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 90 Degrees Event Ghana, organisers of the Award, Mr Eugene Vidzro, announced that the recognition had become necessary to increase the level of personalised services rendered to both internal and external guests of every hotel.

He explained that the biggest award was the Star Idol Award, which recognised General Managers who had worked in the Hospitality Industry for 10 years or more.

Mr Anthony K. Adiaba, General Manager of Raybow International Hotel told GNA that the Hotel offers 45 air-conditioned accommodations with complimentary bottled water and coffee/tea makers, while accommodations offered separate living rooms and include; desks with premium bedding.

He added that all 45 rooms feature kitchenettes with refrigerators and microwaves, plus free WiFi, free wired Internet, and flat-screen TVs with satellite channels with other amenities available to guests as balconies or patios, living rooms, and dining areas.

According to him, guests can surf the web using the complimentary wired and wireless internet access with flat-screen televisions, which come with premium satellite channels, whereas housekeeping is provided daily.

Mr Adiaba who also deemed the success to dedicated staff and innovative service opined that his outfit has an outdoor pool and a children’s pool on site with other recreational amenities like an outdoor tennis court and a health club.

It also has 40 apartments, two restaurants and a conference facility with a standby live band on Fridays.
