Koforidua, Oct. 29, GNA – The Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church has ordained two deacons and three priests as part of the activities to mark the 39th anniversary of the establishment of the diocese.
The ordained priests include Reverend (Rev) Father (Fr) Emmanuel Antoh, Rev Fr Moses Tei and Rev Fr Richard Amuzu.
The ordained deacons were Fr Richard Gamah and Fr Augustine Sackey Addoo.
The ordination ceremony was celebrated by Rt Rev Felix Odei Annancy, Bishop of the diocese at the St Peters Cathedral at Koforidua.
Preaching the sermon, Cannon Dr George Dawson-Amoah, the Director of Communication of the Church, called on the members to sacrifice and commit their time and resources for the development of the church.
Cannon Dr Dawson-Amoah urged the congregation to cooperate with the newly ordained priests to help them to succeed.
He urged the newly ordained priests to come up with new ideas to reposition the church during this challenging times of the history of the church.
Cannon Dawson-Amoah urged the new priests to cultivate positive attitudes, be persistent and ensure that they completed all projects they start.
