Parliamentarian donates ambulance to constituents

Accra, May 18, GNA – Mr Benjamin Ayeh, New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira West, has called on his constituents to go for regular medical check-ups and adhere to strict medical prescriptions to prevent ill-health.rn     rnHe said this was the only antidote to for them have control over medical complications that contributed to the high mortality rate.rn     rn“Some illnesses do not show any symptoms and it is only regular check-up that will detect those diseases,” he said.rn     rnMr Ayeh made the call when he presented four multi-purpose ambulances valued at GH¢140,000 to four communities in the constituency.rn     rnThe constituencies are Diaso, Ntom, Subin and Dominase.rn     rnThe ambulances which have been distributed to the various health posts in the beneficiary communities would be used for other activities including periodic mobile clinics to the localities and surrounding areas.rn     rnThe ambulances have been fitted with special communication gadgets that could facilitate direct services during emergency situations.rn     rnHe advised them to undertake regular exercises in lieu of its health benefits to the human immune system and to observe a healthy dietary regime to boost their disease resistance.rn     rnMr Ayeh said the presentation was to make health service delivery accessible to the people particularly the aged.rn     rnHe promised to pay the salaries of drivers who would be employed as well as their regular maintenance.rn rnGNA
