Muslim community in Ghana appeals to President

Accra, April 22, GNA – The Muslim community in Ghana has appealed to President Akufo-Addo to facilitate the daily live broadcast by the National Chief Iman, Sheikh Nuhu Sharabutu, during the holy month of Ramadan.

The broadcast, which they say is strategic, would offer the opportunity for Muslims to observe fully the social distancing measures instituted by Government to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus disease, and to further educate them on all other measures to the faithful.

Sheikh Aremeyaw Shaibu, Spokesperson for the national chief Iman made the appeal when Muslim leaders met the President at the Jubilee House, Accra.
