Akyawkrom (Ash), March 27, GNA – Dr. Adu Gyamfi, Assembly Member for Akyawkrom Electoral Area in the Ejisu Municipality, has given out a number of items to help support the community in the fight against the spread of COVID-19.
The items, which included Veronica buckets, alcohol based hand sanitizers, soaps and tissue papers are to be placed at vantage points in the community for use by the people.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Gyamfi said he was teaming up with the traditional leaders and Unit Committee members to help in the fight against the spread of the disease in the areas.
He commended the Municipal Health Response Team for the initiative taken to contain the spread of the virus and appealed to the people to take preventive measures outlined by health authorities seriously to avoid contracting the disease.
He appealed to well-to-do individuals in the community to also help provide support to the people to prevent the spread of the disease.
He pledged his continuous support to help improve quality health delivery system in the area.
