Ho, April 8, GNA – The Volta Region House of Chiefs, has expressed the demise of Justice Nasiru Sulemana Gbadegbe as shocking.
Justice Gbadegbe, a former Supreme Court Judge died at age 74.
A statement signed by Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, President of the House copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said some members of the House knew the late Justice “so well.”
“We hereby offer our sincere condolences to the bereaved family of
Justice Gbadegbe and pray for the repose of his soul”.
Retired Justice Gbadegbe passed on Saturday April 5, 2025, after a short illness.
He joined the Supreme Court in 2009 and served till December 8, 2020, when he attained the retirement age of 70.
Prior to his time at the Supreme Court, he was a Justice of Appeal between 1999 and 2009.
Justice Gadegbe was also a High Court judge from 1989 to 1999.
He was among the panel that handled Ghana’s 2012/2013 election petition.
