Sekondi, April 1, GNA – The South-West Business District of the MTN has gifted the Muslim community in Sekondi variety of items to mark the Eid after the one month of Ramadan.

The items included a giant ram, packs of assorted drinks, water, and bags of rice.

Mr David Woasey, Area Sales Manager of the District South said this year’s donation was not different from the annual kindness showed to the Muslims by the company but rather was to reaffirm MTN Ghana’s commitment to that course.

This gesture also aligned with the company’s longstanding tradition of contributing to Ramadan celebrations ….”We have a lot of Muslims occupying leadership positions at MTN and they are also contributing their quota to the development of the community and country at large.”

Mr Woasey said the company believed in uplifting the lives of the people and strengthening the bond between the business and its catchments.

He said the values of Ramadan, sacrifice and unity are also values embedded in MTN fraternity business.

The Regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Zulkifi Abdul Waheed expressed appreciation to the company for the continued show of love.

He prayed for the prosperity and all-round successes of the business in the years ahead.
