Sege, April 19, GNA - Apostle Reverend Daniel Keshi Bessey, Member of Parliament (MP) for Sege Constituency, has called on Christians, to demonstrate godliness during the Easter festivities.
The MP who is also the founder and minister of Rhema Word Worship Centre (The Father’s House Assembly), Anyamam, speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview, noted that promoting peace and unity by Christians would demonstrate the godliness Jesus Christ sanctioned when he was crucified.
He encouraged Christians to reflect the true teachings of Jesus Christ by avoiding acts that contradicted Christian values, such as theft, violence, and other immoral behaviours.
“Do not go and take what does not belong to you. Do not take anyone’s Bible but rather maintain peace,” he advised.
He described Easter as a sacred period commemorated by Christians across the globe to honour the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and to renew their faith in him as their mediator.
The MP announced plans to visit several churches in the constituency during the Easter period to worship and celebrate with congregants, despite his pastoral responsibilities at his church.
He further urged members of the public to ensure their homes are well secured before attending Easter conventions and programmes to prevent stealing during the celebrations.
