Sunyani, (Bono), April 4, GNA – It was hectic for police personnel to control traffic when a Chevrolet saloon car crashed with a Benz vehicle around the Bank of Ghana Area, on the Sunyani-Fiapre Highway in the early hours of Thursday.
The Ghana News Agency (GNA) gathered that the crash happened when the light, blue-coloured Chevrolet with registration number GT9346-15 attempted to enter the highway from a bypass around the central bank.
An eyewitness, Baffour Agyemang told the GNA that black-coloured Benz with registration number GT 4978-20 was also descending a valley from the Fiapre direction of the highway and crashed the backside of the Chevrolet.
All the four occupants of the Chevrolet who sustained various degrees of injury were rescued and rushed to a health facility in Sunyani for medical care, the GNA learnt.
During a visit to the scene around 0800 hours, scores arrived around the Central Bank area to catch a glimpse, as the police personnel struggled to control vehicular traffic and to facilitate the movements of other vehicles.
In a related development, some occupants of a Matix taxi cab with registration number BA 1097-18 are said to be in critical condition when the taxi crashed white-coloured Nissan 4×4 Pickup vehicle with registration number GB 1612-20.
The GNA learnt that the crash happened around the Sunyani Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Hospital area of the Sunyani-Fiapre highway around 1100 hours Thursday April 3, 2025 and the victims were rushed to the hospital.
