Takoradi (W/R), April 05, GNA- The Peasant Farmers Association of Ghana (PFAG), has pledged to support the government’s agricultural transformative agenda in the quest to boost agricultural productivity in the country.
To this end, the PFAG says it would continue to foster healthy relationship with the Director of Agriculture and Agribusiness on Presidential Initiatives at the Presidency, Mr Peter Boamah -Otokunor.
President of the PFAG, Mr Wepia Addo Awal Adugwala said this during a meeting with the Director at his office in Accra.
The meeting centred on how the government would extend support to the PFAG to make the transformational agenda in modernizing agriculture as an agribusiness.
The meeting was also used to discuss strategic decisions and to foster a mutually beneficial and impactful working relationship between the two parties.
On his part, Dr Boamah-Otokunor pledged the readiness of his office to support farmers and farming activities to ensure food security and food sufficiency in the country.
