Nkwanta residents bid farewell to Kyabobo National Park manager

Nkwanta (O/R), April 06, GNA – Residents of Nkwanta South in the Oti Region have expressed their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Josiah Aduko to the outgoing manager of Kyabobo National Park, who has been transferred after 12 years of service.   

In a farewell ceremony held in honour of the Manager, residents, stakeholders, community leaders, and the Park Staff acknowledged his contributions to the development of the park.  

Nana Akwesi Sekyi Attakora II, Nefahene of Akyode Traditional Area, on behalf of the chiefs and residents present, praised the manager’s leadership, professionalism, and passion for conservation, which have left a lasting impact on the park and the area.   

The chief expressed sadness at the departure of the manager but acknowledged that his transfer is a testament to his hard work and dedication.   

Some residents in an interview with the Ghana News Agency took the opportunity to acknowledge the manager’s tireless efforts in promoting conservation, sustainable tourism, and community development within the park.  

“The manager’s commitment to conservation and community engagement has been instrumental in maintaining the park’s rich biodiversity and promoting eco- tourism in our area,” the residents said.  

They, however, wished him well as he began a new chapter in his career and thanked him for his invaluable contributions to the conservation and development of the park. 

 Mr. Josiah Aduko, the outgoing manager, expressed his gratitude to the community for their support and cooperation during his tenure.  

He emphasised the importance of continued collaboration between the park authorities and the local communities to ensure the long-term conservation of the park’s natural resources.
