Binduri (U/E), April 04, GNA – The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has organised a quiz competition among Junior High Schools (JHS), on the 1992 Constitution in the Binduri district in the Upper East Region.

The objective of the exercise was to deploy quizzes to promote learning on the content of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.

It was also a strategy and tool used to create awareness of the main values of democratic governance to instil the spirit of patriotism and enhance citizens’ participation in governance at all levels.

The occasion which formed part of the activities of the Commission was to commemorate the 68th Independence celebration of Ghana where students were engaged to bring to bear the knowledge they have acquired with respect to the 1992 Constitution.

Mr Emmanuel Abass Laari, the Binduri District Director of the NCCE, during the exercise thanked the patrons of participating schools for making time to be part of the programme despite their busy schedules.

He told the students that as young citizens, they had the responsibility to get involved in the development of the country as the theme for the Commission: “Ghana’s future: Our collective Responsibility,” stated.
